Shinhwa Forever Subbers

Previously, in one of my posts, I had thanked the many subbers who took the time to sub all these Korean/Japanese dramas, variety shows, songs, etc because without them I would have never have enjoyed many of the shows I love watching.

As I was searching through the internet looking for one of Shinhwa Broadcast's episodes with their pets I stumbled upon Shinhwa Forever's tumbler site.  Now, in my naive mind, I knew there were subbers but I didn't know some of them were groups of people who sub these shows because they wanted to share the shows/groups/etc that they love.  Shinhwa Forever is a group of subbers who love Shinhwa and wanted to spread the Orange love. They would sub everything and anything that has a Shinhwa member in it.  They would have their logo in the upper right corner on all their work that they have done.

I got so excited when I found the site, especially since I saw that they were subbing Cheer Up Mr Kim and Shinhwa Broadcast.  For a while I was watching Shinhwa Broadcast but it seemed like Google was deleting the show on YouTube because I had a hard time finding all the episodes.  I didn't know where to find the show.

Then, to my dismay, I read some of the older posts they wrote last year. I couldn't believe these nice people were being harassed daily by people who didn't know the Korean language.  These people would complain that SF was subbing too slow and not posting the shows fast enough.  Really???  I was stunned that anyone would message them anything negative.  For some reason, I got really upset that SF was being harrassed and I didn't know them.  I got more upset that someone was actually taking their hard work and making money off of the work that they do and taking credit for it.  What the...?!?

Why am I writing this?  I want people to realize all the hard work that not only Shinhwa Forever but all subbers do.  There is absolutely no reason to be angry or hateful for not subbing your favorite shows or not subbing faster.  If you think it's easy, you do it or learn the language for goodness sakes! I'm not saying I don't get impatient for the next subbed episode but I would never complain to the subbers that they are slow.  I just patiently wait then jump for joy when it's uploaded.

And to the person who's stealing from Shinhwa Forever, you left me speechless, since I shouldn't be posting obscenities, I'm not going to say it here.  Let's hope you understand what I mean.

Ok, I'm done with my rant (well, I can go on but I'll stop).  Let's hope everyone will show a lot more appreciation for these subbers.

고맙습니다, subbers.

Daniel Henney sings Kissing Me

I'm wondering if any Daniel Henny fans remembers him singing?

Years ago, in my Daniel Henney obsession phase in my life, I had to watch everything Daniel Henney.  My first introduction to Daniel was Spring Waltz, his second Korean drama.  Then I was told he was also in My Name is Kim Sam Soon.  So of course I had to watch that too.

Then, he did a movie called Seducing Mr Perfect.  It's a lite romantic comedy set in Korea.  It's about a woman who always gets dumped by her boyfriends.  Then along comes Robin Heiden, her boss played by Daniel Henney, who is completely opposite of how she feels about love and relationships.  He treats it as a game of power.  When I first saw the movie, I loved it.  You probably can guess why. hahaha.   Now, it's an alright movie but now I prefer his latest rom-com Shanghai Calling.

In any case,  there was a OST for the film Seducing Mr Perfect called Kissing Me.  Daniel Henney and Alex, from Clazziquai Project, sings this song.  Alex, yeah, he's got a nice smooth voice.  Then there's Daniel.  He's not Alex but he can hold his own and he sings in Korean.

I've listen to this song over and over.  Daniel knows how to perform in front of the camera because I just enjoy watching him sing.

Here's his OST with Alex, who's Korean-Canadian.

The Romantic and The Idol Season 2, Episode 6

Well, I've been very behind on my Episodes.

This episode starts with the couples, Min Hyuk/Yewon, JongHoon/G.Na and N/Jiwon on their mini-song selection date.  It's a moonlight date with no crew but their own handicam.

Min Hyuk and Yewon seemed very comfortable together at a cafe.  On a side note: they do seem to be very concerned with how they look, ie. constantly fixing their hair, looking at their reflection, etc. when they are together.  They seem to have a very comfortable skinship, Yewon touching Min Hyuk's face when he pointed out something on his face.  He also touches her face.

On Jonghoon and G.Na's date at a ramen-like cafe, it looks like Jonghoon is trying to be a good date.  Very attentive.  It seems like he's giving G.Na mixed messages on this date.  At first you can see he's disappointed and wanted to hangout with Yewon as they walk from the cabin. At this restaurant, he's being really nice, like he wants to please G.Na.  It's kind of like what he told Min Hyuk not to do on one of the earlier episode.  Do not confuse the girl by being really nice.

N and Jiwon's date at a restaurant, this is where N tells Jiwon when he started liking her.  At one point they turn off the handicam to just talk privately. Hmmm...

Then they showed Kevin and Eunyeoung at a restaurant since they were not "coupled" with anyone.  Eunyeoung was telling Kevin her feelings and Kevin trying to comfort her.  Personally, I wish she would open her eyes and look at Kevin.  I think they would be good together.  Ok, I'm switching my opinon now that I see Kevin and Eunyeong together.  Kevin looks like he would be very attentive to Eunyeoung if they got together.

Then the moonlight  mission: the piggyback.

G.Na is so against this.  She even suggests she piggybacks Jonghoon and doubt that he can carry her.  In the end, Jonghoon gives G.Na a piggyback.  She even looks like she's enjoying it.

N was really nice and gave Jiwon the piggyback saying she's not heavy after she apologies to N as he was giving her a piggyback.  They looked like they were enjoying this mission.  Real cute together.  I think they would make a nice couple.

Min Hyuk made it like a drama.  Yewon looking for someone to give her a piggyback and "spots" Min Hyuk.  Poor thing, you can hear Min Hyuk panting and see him having a hard time carrying her.

As they return to the cabin, they have another mission.  It's the midnight confession in the Truth Room.  They all gather in front of a room at a distance, so that everyone can see in but they can't hear what the couples are talking about.  Each person gets to select someone to bring into the room and discuss anything and the answer has to be the Truth.

First up is Min Hyuk who selectes Jiwon.  Yewon looked upset.  He asks Jiwon why she selected him in the mid-selection. She tells him he's her ideal but feels awkward around him when they are together.

Next is Kevin, who also picks Jiwon.  He tells her how he feels and how inexperience he is at dating.  He's so shy and awkward.  Jiwon didn't say anything since Kevin didn't ask her anything. He just confesses to her.  Poor thing, Jiwon is interested in N or Min Hyuk.

When it's N's turn he picks G.Na.  Eunyeoung and Jiwon looked surprised.  G.Na got all excited when N asked her about Jiwon, since he's interested in Jiwon.

First girl to pick is Jiwon and she picked Min Hyuk. She bluntly asked Min Hyuk who he likes and why was he interested in her.  If his opinon changed from before.  He told her he was still confused and these talks are making him more confused.  They do confess to each other that they still feel awkward around each other. Hmmm...why pick someone if you feel awkward around them?  They seem to like each other just because of the other person's image and they look like their ideal.

Next is G.Na and of course she picks Jonghoon.  Here she confesses her feelings to Jonghoon.  She keeps on talking and doesn't let him speak.  Although I don't know what he can say other than   saying sorry for being too focused on Yewon and not interested in her.  =P

Jonghoon then picks Yewon and basically complains to her that she didn't pick his song in the song shuffle and she should have waited and not pick the first song.  At least Yewon got to talk a little to Jonghoon.  He told her that he hasn't changed his mind.  Wow, a lot of pressure on Yewon.

Yewon picks Min Hyuk for the Truth room, to the disappointment of Jonghoon and Jiwon.  In the room,  Yewon bluntly asked Min Hyuk his feelings.  He still says he's confused.  Yewon was disappointed but says now she not confused anymore, since his feeling may have changed.

Next,  Eunyeoung picks N. She clarifies her feelings to N.  N, so uncomfortable since his feeling for her has changed.

The session ends with them gathered together to talk.  Everyone was gathered at the table except for Kevin.  I wish Kevin participated with everyone.

I know there were comments about how Minhyuk was flirting with Eunyeoung but I don't think so.  It just looked like he was playing with her and tried to make her relax.  She was always quiet around everyone because she's the youngest the the most rookie.  She was always more relaxed in the interviews and one on one with a person.

The end of the episode shows them in the car traveling to where they must pick their final selection.  MinHyuk still unsure and Jonghoon flabbergasted that he hasn't decided yet.

Cheer Up Mr Kim Drama

I've been behind in blogging.  One reason is this daily drama "Cheer Up Mr Kim"

Now, I usually don't watch dramas more than 16 episodes, 20 episodes is pushing it, maybe I'll watch a 24 episode drama but it has to be really good, never mind a daily drama.  BUT Mr Kim is 100+ episodes and a daily drama.  What was I thinking?

First, I started watching because of Kim Dongwan.  A member of Shinhwa, one of my newest obsessions.  I just vaguely heard of it in passing on one of the variety shows and looked  it up.  I didn't know it was a daily drama and started watching it.

This is about Kim Tae Pyeong (Kim Dong Wan).  He is the guardian of four children who came from different families.  He works as a housekeeper part time but cleans apartments full time.  He also comes from a difficult childhood.

Gosh, if I needed a housekeeper, I'll sure to hire him, he's so good-looking (just look at his picture).  sigh...so cute....  His character has such a upbeat personality.  With all the hardship he's gone through, he still tries to be positive.  I think any woman would what him as a husband.  He cooks, cleans, take care of kids, very responsible, very complementary, hard worker and so nice and well mannered.

Why do I keep watching this?  His character is so likable and seems to have a lot of common sense for the first 10 episodes (which I just finished).  In other dramas, and I know it's just to make the dramas exciting, but sometimes the some of the characters just doesn't use common sense.  It's usually: Don't do that, you'll get caught or don't talk out loud to yourself, you'll be overheard.  It get me very frustrated.  Recently, in the last few dramas I watch I don't know how many times I've talked back saying "Why are you doing that?" hahaha.

Watch Cheer Up Mr Kim if you can, plus Dong Wan also sings the OST.  I love his voice.

I'll finish up Romantic and the Idol since I need to tie things up, then on to Mr Kim.

SHINee's Dream Girl cover by "The Managers"

I thought this was funny that SMTown had put this video out.  The first time I saw this, I couldn't stop laughing.  The managers of SHINee, Super Junior, f(x), SNSD and EXO danced to SHINee's Dream Girl.

The managers are:
SHINee's - in the red and black jacket
Super Junior's - in the white jacket
EXO's - in the black jacket and knit cap
SNSD's - in black pants and shirt with "I Trust" on it
f(x)'s - in black pants with red strip.

They look young for managers of these popular groups. They were pretty good considering that they are not performers but managers. They did keep some of the choreography simple when they got to their solo parts.  Dancing with the mops instead of mic stands was funny.

SJ's manager is cute and a pretty good dancer.  He kept to Minho's part well.

EXO's manager is kind of funny performing Taemin's part.  He did some parts but he probably knows that he can't dance like Taemin, so he made a lot of the movements up.

I would have loved to hear what the groups said about their managers' performance.

Bae Yong Jun still in Hawaii?

In a previous post, Bae Yong Jun and Hyun Bin was spotted in Honolulu.  Well, it seems like in a recent article in the Honolulu Star-Advertiser, Bae Yong Jun has been in Hawaii for a month.

People has been going to his new coffee house Gorilla In The Cafe in hopes of spotting him. Has anyone eaten there?  How's the food?

In another article from AllKpop, it was reported that he's been staying in Hawaii to focus on his new coffee house and his health.  His health??? I hope it's just to rest up and it's nothing serious.

Key West Entertainment says he has no specific schedules so they don't know how long he plans to stay in Hawaii.

He has also gifted some of his staff members a 7 day vacation in Hawaii.  How nice of him.

If anyone spots Bae Yong Jun, please let us know.  We won't stalk him, but it would be nice to know.

Shinee's Dream Girl comeback

Aish! I've been busy and behind on so many things.

One thing is SHINee's back...again and I'm liking the song. Dream Girl is their 2013 comeback song. Their 3rd album is Dream Girl: The misconceptions of you.

First off, I have to say, it's been a long time since all the boys look really good.  In other concepts, there is always one person that the stylist messed up their hairstyle.  I guess I just like short hair.

In the MV, I completely missed the song the first time I watched it since the visuals were so distracting.  It's very fantasy, Alice in Wonderland-like concept. The clothes are very colorful and seemed so mis-matched.  There a few choices where the boys look just odd, but overall I like the style.

For the song, I like it.  They describe it as a mix of acid electro funk.  To me, it's like a mix of Dazzling Girl and Sherlock. Taemin and Minho has more singing parts in this song.  It seems like they are just increasing their parts more with each song.  I'm so glad for them.

Choreography-wise, I've been watching their stage performances and I like that they dance with the mic stands.  Very different.

This is what SMTown said about the album:

The 3rd album is released in twopackages: Chapter 1. "DreamGirl-The misconception of  you" and Chapter 2. The misconception of me, and Chapter 1 and 2 have hidden keywords organically related with each other that the album gives the fun of finding and connection keywords and interpreting them in a variety of ways...the story-like element, the fun of listening....

Nice.

Here you go...Enjoy the video and the Dance Version too, cuz, you know I like those too. =D
