Shinee's Why So Serious MV Teaser

Photo: callmepatricia.com

SHINee's back again, with a new song Why So Serious, misconception of me.  SMTown just released a teaser video.

I think I'm going to like this song better than the Dream Girl song.  I'm liking the style of the video better than the fantasy Dream Girl. I would like to see the whole video before comment any further.

In this teaser, Jonghyun is missing.  If you haven't heard, Jonghyun had been in a car accident on April 1st.  Yup, no April fool's joke.  After visiting his home, Jonghyun was driving back to his dorm when he hit the guard rails at Dongho Bridge.  He had to undergo surgery to fix his nose.  He will return to his normal schedule after his recovery.  Rest long and get better Jonghyun, your fans can wait patiently for you.

For now, here's the teaser:

SHINee's Dream Girl cover by "The Managers"

I thought this was funny that SMTown had put this video out.  The first time I saw this, I couldn't stop laughing.  The managers of SHINee, Super Junior, f(x), SNSD and EXO danced to SHINee's Dream Girl.

The managers are:
SHINee's - in the red and black jacket
Super Junior's - in the white jacket
EXO's - in the black jacket and knit cap
SNSD's - in black pants and shirt with "I Trust" on it
f(x)'s - in black pants with red strip.

They look young for managers of these popular groups. They were pretty good considering that they are not performers but managers. They did keep some of the choreography simple when they got to their solo parts.  Dancing with the mops instead of mic stands was funny.

SJ's manager is cute and a pretty good dancer.  He kept to Minho's part well.

EXO's manager is kind of funny performing Taemin's part.  He did some parts but he probably knows that he can't dance like Taemin, so he made a lot of the movements up.

I would have loved to hear what the groups said about their managers' performance.

SNSD's Virtural Concert

Did you hear?  SNSD had a virtual concert.  From SMTown Facebook, they gave links to the view the Virtual Concert.  I guess from watching it on a computer, it's no different.  It looks like you got to be there to appreciate the concert.

I watched I Got A Boy performance and it's like watching a Music Bank performance, the only thing is, it looked like the audience wasn't that into it the concert.  You can't hear them screaming or any fanchants.  I like that part of a live performance.  All you see is the smartphones recording the performance.  They do add some CG effects but not much.

One thing I like is that it shows a wide shot of the performance and not just closeups of the members.  It's like watching the dance version.  And I like watching the dance versions of the songs.

Here's the links.  It's from the Naver site. There's also links on SMTown Facebook page. Enjoy!

Super Junior's Weibo and K-Pop Smartphone App

***Update***
If you're joining the Weibo, here's Donghae's ID too add:  Donghai1015
I'm guessing it' like a Twitter account.

I'm a bit late on these news but if you haven't heard:

To all ELF, Super Junior fans!  This is from SMTown's Facebook page.  Super Juniors has an official Weibo, where you can get the latest news about them.  I thought you can only get on if you're in Korea but I guess not, now.  Korea is so good at promoting their Kpop and KDramas.  I wish Japan would be good with promoting their Jpop too.

My laptop will translate the registration into English, hope yours will too.  I didn't join yet, but will.

Here's the site: Super Junior's Weibo

One more app news. Google's Genie K-pop App.
This is a global version app for the smart phone.  This will let you listen to the full K-pop song tracks for free before you purchase it.  Unlike Tunes, where you will only hear a minute of the song.  You can also download images and videos at a price.  SMTown is promoting this and will have their SM artists on Genie.  It's available in Google Play.  I think you can install for free but only purchase the song(s) at a price.  They say it's reasonable.

Here's the site where you can read the full description of the app: Google Play Store

Let me know if you joined SJ's Weibo and/or installed the Kpop Genie app.  Tell me how you like it.

Super Junior's From U and SPY

Woohoo! Another new song from SuJu.  I didn't over play From U and Sexy, Free and Single, yet, and now a new song, SPY.

Even though their comeback song is Sexy, Free and Single, From U is my favorite of the two.  Actually, I like From U, not only because SuJu is dedicating the song to ELF, their fans, but mainly because of Eunhyuk.  Yes, he's my bias.

I love watching their live performances of From U.  I love watching him dance.  As much as I try to look at the other members, my eyes always drift to him and I don't realize I'm watching him again.  I'm glad they got rid of his platinum blonde hair and swept his bangs out of his eyes.  Sometimes I wish there's a fancam that focused only on Eunhyuk dancing in From U.  I get so irritated when the camera cuts from him.  Don't get me wrong, the others should get their camera time but still...

I'm also happy that KRY are the main singers.  I like them.  I like the evil maknae and the goofy Yeseung, as well as Wookie.  I'm glad they formed a sub-group.  I like the way they sing.

So now, after watching their MV for SPY then watching their live performance.  I'm liking this song.  I like that they are in tuxes,  they look so good in them.  And I'm so glad Leetuek changed his hair style from the MV to the live performance.  Ugh! That split hair was just so wrong.  I'm also happy that most of them went back to their darker hair color.  I think platinum blonde are so wrong for Asians.  But I got to say, when Eunhyuk was platinum blonde, it was so easy finding him in their performances.

I hear people complaining that their video is not as flashy as the other SM artists.  That they didn't have a story line or anything.  That SM are not taking care of Suju as much as EXO or the other new groups.  Well, I don't need it.  I think sometimes it gets in the way of the song, especially if it gets too complicated.  Plus they are a dance group.  I want to see them dance.  I always wait for their dance only version of their songs.  I hope it comes out soon.

For now, here's their SPY MV from SMTown's YouTube.  I do not own this video.  Enjoy. ~gt
