Daniel Henney sings Diana

Kekeke!

Look what I found on YouTube!  Daniel Henney singing live at a concert.  The song is Diana from his movie My Father.  I have yet to watch that movie.

He gave a lot of effort and it looks like he's enjoying himself.  I think that counts. This time he's singing in english and plays the electric guitar.

He's so good looking and has a lot of charisma which makes him a great model.  He's a good actor   who can do both dramas and comedy.  For someone that's good looking he really lets himself go and not care about his image, which makes it fun to watch him in comedies.  But I guess he can't have it all.  He's not a singer and I wouldn't count on him being a professional singer but if he got a girlfriend, she would be so lucky to have him sing to her.  I would envy her.

He's so cute singing and it's so hilarious watching him perform Diana.  You gotta love the effort and confidence.  He looks good in glasses too.  Enjoy!

Daniel Henney sings Kissing Me

I'm wondering if any Daniel Henny fans remembers him singing?

Years ago, in my Daniel Henney obsession phase in my life, I had to watch everything Daniel Henney.  My first introduction to Daniel was Spring Waltz, his second Korean drama.  Then I was told he was also in My Name is Kim Sam Soon.  So of course I had to watch that too.

Then, he did a movie called Seducing Mr Perfect.  It's a lite romantic comedy set in Korea.  It's about a woman who always gets dumped by her boyfriends.  Then along comes Robin Heiden, her boss played by Daniel Henney, who is completely opposite of how she feels about love and relationships.  He treats it as a game of power.  When I first saw the movie, I loved it.  You probably can guess why. hahaha.   Now, it's an alright movie but now I prefer his latest rom-com Shanghai Calling.

In any case,  there was a OST for the film Seducing Mr Perfect called Kissing Me.  Daniel Henney and Alex, from Clazziquai Project, sings this song.  Alex, yeah, he's got a nice smooth voice.  Then there's Daniel.  He's not Alex but he can hold his own and he sings in Korean.

I've listen to this song over and over.  Daniel knows how to perform in front of the camera because I just enjoy watching him sing.

Here's his OST with Alex, who's Korean-Canadian.

Daniel Henney 1000th tweet on Twitter

On January 9th, Daniel Henney  tweeted his 1000th tweet on Twitter.  He celebrated by doing a twitvid for his followers.  He thanked his fans and spoke in Korean to his Korean fans.  He is probably one of the nicer idol/celebraties on Twitter that I follow and also one of the few Korean idols that tweet in English.  Ok, that's not fair, the other idols are nice too, except they tweet in Korean and I got tired of going to Google translate to understand what they are saying.  I just look at the pics they post.

Granted Daniel was born and raised in the U.S.A. and his first language is English, but I consider him a Korean idol since I first saw him in his second Korean drama Spring Waltz.  He was first noticed in the K-drama My Lovely Sam Soon playing Dr. Henry Kim, who's character doesn't speak any Korean.

After a few Korean dramas and movies he started acting in American movies and tv shows. X-men Origins: Wolverines, Three Rivers (CBS series), Shanghai Calling and recently guested on Hawaii 5-0 (CBS series).

I really enjoy his tweets and pics on Twitter.  In November, he had a Q&A on Twitter on his birthday.  For 30 mins, any of his followers could tweet any question(s) to him and he would answer them.  Suffice to say my two questions were not answered since I was 15 minutes late from the start of the Q&A.  In hindsight, I should have known he would have gotten at least 100 questions in the first 5 minutes from all his followers shooting off a bunch of questions to him.  He was nice enough to go over the 30 minutes to answer more questions.  Disappointed, yes, but I  understand he couldn't answer all the questions.

So far he as 91,654 followers and is trying to get to 100K. You can follow Daniel @danielhenney. Let's spread the Henney love. hahaha!

Here's his twitvid to his followers.

Actor Hyun Bin To Sign With New Agency

One of the reasons that I fell in love with K-Dramas was because of this guy, actor Hyun Bin.

Hyun Bin

I saw him acting in "My Name is Kim Sam Soon" and I just fell in love. (Coincidentally, Daniel Henney, who Green Tea is absolutely crazy about was in the same drama.)

He has been a hot topic since then, acting in dramas such as "Snow Queen" and "Secret Garden".

It was a little disappointing to hear he was enlisting to the military a couple of years ago. (Mandatory for fit Korean males.) But, he is coming back into public view on December 6th! And with that, he will also be looking at new agency "O&" to guide him through this next stage of his career. Articles say that he is looking over a couple of dramas and movies and the details of "O&'s" contract proposal, already. (What kind of name is this for an agency??)

Can't wait for Hyunnie to come back and act!

HIFF showing of Shanghai Calling

Daniel Henney has a new movie out called Shanghai Calling.  Daniel is most noted for being a K-Drama actor as well as acting in a short U.S. TV series in the called Three Rivers.

On a side note: Daniel will be reunited with fellow Three Rivers co-star Alex O'Loughlin.  Daniel will guest star on Hawaii 5-0 with Alex, who stars as Steve McGarrett.  The episode will air in November.

HIFF first viewing of Shanghai Calling was on Friday, Oct 12th.  The movie is a light romantic comedy that mostly takes place in Shanghai.  Daniels plays Sam, a NY lawyer being sent to Shanghai for an assignment.  As when he first started acting in K-Dramas he barely spoke any Korean.  Well, Daniel didn't speak any Chinese either.  The movie is mostly in English with some english subtitles.  He is suppose to play an American Chinese but I can't get over the fact that he is Korean, probably because I've always known him to be a Korean actor.

I really enjoyed the movie and I must say it was way better than his Korean romantic comedy, Seducing Mr. Perfect.  I would actually buy the DVD and watch it again.

Daniel Henney and Daniel Hsia, the director, made an appearance after the show.  They had a Q&A, where fans could ask questions to both Daniels and could win a t-shirt from the movie.

His fan club, Hermosa International, even had a brief meet and greet with him.  He was very accommodating, friendly, charming and very tall.

Go see Shanghai Calling if you can.  Click here to visit Shanghai Calling site.  Here's the trailer.

Hello,Hello...

My very first ever blog. A bit slow in posting but here I go....

I'm the green tea drinker. No coffee for me and let's not mix milk and sugar in my tea, thank you.

Who am I? Well, I love Kpop and Jpop, mainly SS501, Super Junior, SHINee and Yamapi (my first obsession).  I also watch KDramas and JDramas.  I'll especially watch most dramas with Yamapi and Song Seung Heon. And to a lesser extent, Daniel Henney.  I like discovering idols to adore, while keeping the ones I have already.  The more the merrier I say.

I like to travel and have visited my dream destinations, Japan and Korea, and wouldn't mind going back again and again.  There is just sooo much to see, experience and eat. I would love to go to a concert to see one of my idol groups.

I'm slowly learning Japanese and Korean, a word at a time, and have known to mix both languages in one sentence (forgetting if it's a Korean or Japanese word).

I'm hoping to share my rambling thoughts as well as learn a few things along the way.
